From Seed to Harvest

Inspired by the grow-to-harvest idea, this guide shows how to plan a small Delhi NCR balcony garden around vegetables and herbs you can actually harvest and eat.

From Seed to Harvest

From Seed to Harvest

Most of us know where wheat comes from in theory.

But there is a big difference between knowing that wheat grows in a field and actually following a crop from sowing to harvest.

That is the idea behind Seed to Harvest.

We are opening reservations for wheat from our farm in Karnal for the 2026–27 season. You reserve your quantity before the crop is sown, receive updates through the growing season, and receive your whole-grain wheat after harvest.

You don't need to book an entire acre

Harvest starts at 25 kg.

Your booking is tagged to a specific physical parcel at the Karnal farm. You do not need to buy or manage farmland yourself.

The idea is simple:

Reserve → Follow → Harvest → Receive

What happens after you reserve?

1. Your wheat is sown

The season begins in November.

Your booking is associated with a tagged parcel, and you receive a photo of your parcel as the crop gets started.

2. You follow the crop

During December and January, the wheat grows.

Sattva Organics shares farm updates through the season so you can see how the crop is progressing.

3. The crop ripens

Around February and March, the wheat fills out and turns golden.

Farm visits are welcome with prior intimation.

4. Harvest begins

Harvest is expected from mid-April onwards, depending on the weather.

Farming does not run on an exact calendar, so the final timing follows the crop and conditions on the ground.

5. Your wheat is delivered

Once harvested, your booked quantity is delivered as whole-grain wheat from the Karnal farm.

Delivery is charged at actuals.

What is a Harvest Card?

Every booking gets a Harvest Card.

It records details such as:

  • Your name
  • Booked quantity
  • Farm location
  • Parcel tag
  • Expected harvest window

The parcel tag connects your booking with the farm updates you receive throughout the season.

What are we promising?

We want the model to be straightforward.

Promises:

  • Your booked quantity of whole-grain wheat
  • Regular photos and updates through the season
  • Farm visits with prior intimation
  • Vermicompost instead of chemical fertilizers
  • Neem oil and other organic pesticides instead of chemical pesticides

The yield of an individual parcel can vary. Across the farm, the expected cultivation yield is approximately 15–17 quintals per acre, but individual parcels can differ.

If your tagged parcel falls short of your booked quantity, Sattva Organics' team makes up the difference from its own stock.

Why reserve before sowing?

Because that changes the relationship.

You are not simply buying a bag of wheat after harvest.

You are reserving part of a crop before it is grown and getting to follow its journey.

That is the experience we want our Harvest to create.

How much does it cost?

Wheat is currently ₹65 per kg for Regular wheat and ₹75 per KG for Sharbati Wheat.

You reserve by paying a 25% deposit, with the remaining 75% due before dispatch.

For now, payments are coordinated manually through WhatsApp using UPI or bank transfer.

Can I visit the farm?

Yes.

Farm visits are possible with prior intimation. Contact Sattva Organics' team on WhatsApp and we can coordinate a suitable time.

What happens if weather damages the crop?

Farming always carries weather risk.

If weather or pests damage the crop, Sattva Organics will make up your booked quantity from its own stock where required.

The full booking, delay and refund terms are available on the Harvest page.
